Lexington Learning Center, Inc. is a privately owned and operated educational center
committed to advancing educational skills for students. Our goal is to provide individualized
instruction and support tailored to meet the academic needs of our students.
Lexington's approach to Elevating Academic Skills includes strategies for improving
self esteem while advancing key academic skills.
We believe that all students can master skills, gain academic success and build
self esteem when motivated and encouraged by friendly, supportive professional educators.
Who Should Attend Lexington?
- All Programs are designed to meet individual learning goals & are
designed for the individual.
- These include advancing specific
academic skills, learning to organize
homework and study habits, preparing for an exam, and designing an
enrichment project.
Center Programs
Students attending Lexington Learning Center for remediation, study skills, class work
assistance, skill building, enrichment, test preparation, and homework assistance.
Diagnostic Testing is offered with a certified school psychologist. We offer
both formal and informal ongoing assessment. The formal battery of tests include
silent reading, phonics, reading comprehension, writing, mathematics concepts and
mathematics computation. The testing takes two to three hours. This is followed by
a written report and meeting with the parents and student to outline a plan for study.
Our staff of professional teachers does informal assessment. We keep a summary record of
every session which is available to parents. Tutors are available at every session to
consult with family.
Lexington Offers Convenient,
Flexible Hours
Lexington is open throughout the year. During the school year, students can attend
Sunday through Thursday 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Lexington also offers special vacation and summer programs. Summer hours are 9 a.m.
to 12 noon Monday to Friday and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday.
Communication
The professional staff of licensed, certified teachers works with the students, parents,
and the student's school to provide ongoing communication which contributes to building
confidence, skills, and growth in each Lexington Learning Center student.
About the Director
Carol Liff has over 25 years experience as an educator in the Boston area. She has served as a
public and private school principal. She has taught grades K, 1, 3, 4, 7, & 8 and has been a
guidance counselor for middle school aged students.
Carol does professional training for the Massachusetts Teachers Association throughout the
state. She also has been a part time education faculty member at Boston University,
Simmons College, Lesley College, Northeastern University and other area colleges where
she taught education curriculum courses and supervised in the graduate and undergraduate
teacher preparation programs.
Carol is certified as an elementary principal, teacher, school psychologist, guidance
counselor, and guidance director. She holds a master's degree in guidance from Boston
University and a Certificate of Advanced Standing in Administration from Harvard University

Tuition & Scheduling
$85.00 per session hour for 1 - 4 hours of tutoring,
$75.00 per hour if five or more sessions are paid for at first session
$73.00 per hour if a minimum of three months are scheduled with a credit card on file for first of the month billing
Workshops are billed as advertised. We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express, cash and personal checks.
All sessions must be paid for in advance.
